With classes available for ages 5 to 18, we offer 5 and 6 year olds the chance to learn the basics of both tap and
modern dance styles. Older children then specialise in either tap, modern or both and our senior students have
the chance to work at Major level.
Start at age 5 or 6 in our combined Starter Tap and Modern Dance class and have lots of fun learning to make
special sounds with your tap shoes.
Move on to our Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Tap grade classes with each grade offering a new challenge
and building on what you have already learned. We start at Primary and have classes for each level up to
Grade 6.
For the older serious student, there are Tap Major and Freework classes designed to stretch your dance ability to
the full. You will be working at this level if you hope to go to a full-time Dance and Performing Arts College in the
future or to University to study for a Degree in Dance.
Our Tap students enter for examinations set by the ISTD, the largest Tap Dance examining board in the UK. From
age 8 they have the opportunity to take part in our regular productions at the Capitol Theatre in Horsham and
also entertain the local community at special events.
There are Tap classes for Adults too – both Beginners and Advanced.
